Roadmap

IronFlux is playable and in playtesting, with a Steam release coming soon. Here is what is in the game today and what we are building next.

Now · playable today
  • Monoliths & Ascendancy Hold a Monolith's ring to take it, collect tribute, and hold more than half to ascend
  • Three factions Cindral Vanguard, Zephyrine Court and Pelagic Choir — one shared economy, three doctrines
  • Two objectives Ascendancy (King of the Hill) or Annihilation (Classic RTS), with optional Horde Attacks and Weather Events on either
  • Skirmish vs AI 20+ built-in maps for 2 to 8 commanders with more coming before release, plus procedural battlefields, teams and per-seat bot difficulty
  • Online multiplayer Host through Steam with a 6-digit join code or invites, choose who can join, and lock seats
  • Resumable matches A crashed host can reopen the match with every player back in their seat
  • Basic Training & campaigns Basic Training, Advanced Training (from 0.1.19) and the opening missions of every faction campaign
  • Land, sea and air Fifteen unit classes and field structures with upgrades
  • Spectate & replay Watch all-bot battles and replays at 1x to 16x speed; saves and replays run on a deterministic simulation
  • Weather events Lightning strikes that chain between units and deep freezes that ice over the water, with adjustable frequency and severity
  • 0.1.11 — Multiplayer in the demo Host or join online matches through Steam with other demo players
  • 0.1.11 — Demolish & cancel Demolish your own buildings for half their metal back, or cancel a building that is still going up for a full refund
  • 0.1.12 — Upgrades that finish Starting an upgrade also sends a builder that can do the work, and a stalled building site says what it is waiting for
  • 0.1.12 — Smarter army movement Units find their way around summit walls, large groups move as a compact block, and box selection takes every unit it touches
  • 0.1.19 — Cleaner controls W, A, S and D always pan the camera, and attack-move is on Tab. You can rebind it in Options
  • 0.1.12 — Matches reach an ending A side with no completed building for 60 seconds is revealed to its enemies, so its last hidden units can be found
  • 0.1.15 — Replies to your reports When we answer a report you sent with F8, the main menu shows REPLY FROM THE IRONFLUX TEAM, in your language with the English original underneath
  • 0.1.15 — Report history MY REPORTS shows every report you have sent, its status and the full history; ADD TO THIS REPORT sends more details, a screenshot, logs or a replay
  • 0.1.15 — Older replays play again Replays recorded on 0.1.3 through 0.1.11 are converted once and play back, and new replays stay watchable in future versions
  • 0.1.19 — Basic and Advanced Training Four new Basic Training drills and four Advanced Training missions: Engineer's Bench, The Gantry, Weather Watch and Game Modes. Together they open the faction campaigns
  • 0.1.19 — A new economy Your base gives 20 metal/s and 20 energy/s, each Extractor yields 20 metal/s, and Titans are built at the Gantry
  • 0.1.19 — Smarter bots, cleaner bases Bots finish beaten sides so free-for-all matches reach a winner, and units leave bases cleanly and step aside for each other
  • 0.1.19 — A clearer HUD An economy panel with STORED, INCOME/s, SPEND/s and NET/s, UNDER ATTACK and shield labels, visible siege fire and LIMIT REACHED when your army is full
  • 0.1.19 — A bigger Field Wiki Tier filters, creatures, a picture for every entry, the Natives of Veyra, and a description for every building and unit
Later · toward 1.0
  • Full launch (1.0) Complete campaigns, polished multiplayer, and the content and balance passes for a full launch. The demo stays available until 1.0

Recent updates

0.1.19 · October 19, 2026 · out now for the full game and the demo
  • Basic Training grows to seven missions, and the new Advanced Training adds Engineer's Bench, The Gantry, Weather Watch and Game Modes. Both open the faction campaigns. Training progress is reset once
  • A new economy: your base gives 20 metal/s and 20 energy/s, each Extractor yields 20 metal/s, and Titans are built at the Gantry
  • Smarter bots finish beaten sides, gather clear of their bases and play the new economy. Units leave your base cleanly and step aside for each other
  • Attack-move has moved from A to Tab, so W, A, S and D always pan the camera. Alt no longer gets stuck as held
  • The economy panel shows STORED, INCOME/s, SPEND/s and NET/s. Buildings show UNDER ATTACK and shield labels, attackers visibly fire, and LIMIT REACHED appears when your army is full
  • FIELD WIKI tier filters, creatures, pictures and the Natives of Veyra; MY REPORTS filters, and an opt-in to be thanked by name in the changelog
0.1.15 · October 10, 2026
  • Replies to your reports: when we answer a problem report you sent (F8 or REPORT A PROBLEM), the main menu shows REPLY FROM THE IRONFLUX TEAM, in your game language with the English original underneath
  • MY REPORTS lists every report you have sent from your PC. Click one to see its status (Received, In review, Fixed, Closed) and the full history of our replies and your additions
  • ADD TO THIS REPORT sends more details, a fresh screenshot, logs or a replay to a report you already sent. Only your PC can read our replies or add to your reports
  • Replays recorded on 0.1.3 through 0.1.11 play again after a one-time conversion, and replays recorded from now on can be watched in future versions too
  • Jump through a replay with PgUp / PgDn (30 seconds) and Home (back to the start)
0.1.12 · October 9, 2026
  • Upgrades no longer stall at 0%: starting an upgrade also sends a builder that can do the work. MK2 buildings need an ENGINEER
  • A building site that cannot progress says why, and its panel offers SEND BUILDER and CANCEL CONSTRUCTION
  • Units find their way around summit walls and other obstacles, and a click on an unreachable spot sends them to the nearest place they can reach
  • Large groups move as a compact block centred on your click, and box selection takes every unit it touches while the screen keeps edge-scrolling
  • With units selected, A is attack-move only. New option PAN WITH WASD; the arrow keys always pan
  • A side with no completed building for 60 seconds is revealed to its enemies, so the match can finish
0.1.11 · October 8, 2026
  • Multiplayer in the demo: host or join online matches through Steam with other demo players
  • DEMOLISH your own buildings (or press Delete, then again to confirm) for half their metal back, or cancel a building still going up for a full refund
  • New option KEEP MOUSE IN WINDOW keeps the mouse inside the game in fullscreen, so edge-scrolling works on multi-monitor setups
  • Big crowds converging on one small target form up and hold still instead of dancing around it
  • The problem-report form starts empty with placeholder text, and text fields support Ctrl+A
